Modern Dining Tables: the Material Value of 3D Surfaces

In contemporary interior design, modern dining tables take on the role of true architectural surfaces. The tabletop becomes the protagonist: a material slab interacting with light, space, and surrounding materials.

In this context, porcelain stoneware evolves from a simple covering to a furnishing element, thanks to three-dimensional processing and advanced technologies.

Modern Dining Table: the Slab as an Architectural Surface

A modern dining table today is designed around the central slab. It is no longer just a support surface, but a structuring plane, built to last over time and to accompany different moments of daily life.

In ELEMENTA TABLES, the project starts precisely from the porcelain slab: large format, carefully calibrated thicknesses, finished edges, and visual continuity between top and side. Standard models, customizable in appearance through surface choice, are also offered in large and extendable versions, ideal for hosting convivial occasions and festive moments without compromising formal coherence and visual clarity.

3D Surfaces and Materic Touch: Three-Dimensionality that Warms the Space

The Materic Touch technology combines technical precision with material sensitivity: a structuring application impresses veins and details directly onto the surface, creating a low-relief effect perfectly aligned with the texture design. The slab thus acquires real three-dimensionality, perceptible both visually and by touch, with nuances ranging from textured to velvety.

The result is a surface that realistically evokes natural stones and marbles, while providing an unexpected visual warmth for a technical material such as porcelain stoneware.

ALL-OVER Technology and Graphic Continuity of the Tabletop

Alongside tactile three-dimensionality, visual continuity is a central element of the design. In ELEMENTA, this continuity logic takes two distinct configurations.

The ALL-OVER technology, applicable to 20 mm slabs, allows the graphics to continue seamlessly from the tabletop to the edge, eliminating visual breaks and reinforcing the perception of a single coherent material block: the graphics wrap the top and edge while maintaining perfect visual consistency.

For 6 mm slabs, continuity is achieved through coupling with glass: an 8 mm glass, available in white or black, cut at a 45° angle and vacuum-bonded to the slab. In this solution, the effect of thinness and precision relies exclusively on the glass, while the slabs maintain straight edges.

The tabletop appears thin, precise, and extremely refined, allowing the material to speak without visually weighing down the structure.

Large Tables and Coordinated Elements: the Table as a Convivial Hub

Size matters, especially when the table is designed as the center of domestic life. ELEMENTA models include large tables and an extendable version, designed for convivial contexts, large dinners, and special occasions.

Coordinating the table with floors, wall coverings, and other furniture elements made from the same porcelain stoneware creates a coherent environment. In this way, the table becomes both the visual and functional focal point, without feeling isolated from the overall design.

ELEMENTA Tables: New Models and Configurations Presented at Cersaie 2025

ELEMENTA TABLES is characterized by the integration of advanced ceramic technologies applied to porcelain slabs: Materic Touch for real three-dimensionality and natural tactile perception, ALL-OVER for graphic continuity between top and edge, porcelain/glass bonding for thin, precise, and structurally performing tops.

These solutions, already introduced in models launched last year, now continue and evolve in the new Rectangular Extending 250 and Oval 260 models, expanding the collection in versatility, proportions, and design possibilities.

  • RECTANGULAR EXTENDING 250: large-format extendable rectangular table (250 × 100 cm), designed for convivial settings and festive occasions, available with porcelain/glass top.
  • OVAL 260: large oval table (260 × 115 cm), featuring a continuous and soft surface, available with ALL-OVER technology and porcelain/glass top.
  • ELEMENTA PORCELAIN TOPS: wide selection of ceramic surfaces inspired by marbles, stones, and cement, available in natural, glossy, or honed finish. The slab range has been further expanded with new surfaces equipped with Materic Touch technology, offering realistic three-dimensionality and natural tactile perception.
